How Our Static IP Solution Works

Using a centralized RADIUS IP Assignment Server, POND IoT assigns a fixed IP to each device — automatically.

Device connects and sends IMSI
The IoT device joins the mobile network and identifies itself with its SIM ID (IMSI).

RADIUS receives request and checks database
Our system processes the connection and looks up the device’s assigned IP.

Static IP is retrieved
The correct static IP (public or private) is pulled from the database.

IP is sent to the mobile gateway
The network receives and prepares to assign the IP.

Device is assigned the IP
The mobile gateway delivers the fixed IP to the device.

Device comes online
The device is live and reachable with the same IP every time.
